No Sew Fleece Throw

I have always wanted to make a no sew fleece throw, but have never really had the opportunity. Today, while we were in Joann Fabrics (again!), I went to just look and see if they by any chance had any owl themed fleece. I found exactly what I was looking for and Paul was just thrilled that I was starting another project! LOL

The process is quite simple, but I still looked up instructions on how to make one. I found a pretty basic write-up here.

All you need is your fleece material, good scissors, and the ability to tie knots.

1. I placed the plain fleece face down, and the patterned fleece face up on top of plain fleece. (You can also just use a single piece of fleece for a thinner blanket.)

2.  I cut any excess edges from the material and made sure both pieces of fleece match each other on all sides.

3.  Then I cut 4" squares from each corner.

4.  I cut 1" strips of the material all the way around. (If you don't have a pair of good scissors, go out an buy some...they are wonderful!)

5.  Then I tied the strips together by double knotting them. (You can also do a knot like you would tie a ballon, but I choose the double knot.)

It was super easy and I love it! I can't wait till her birthday...she is going to love it too!

I used 1.5 yards of pattern fleece and 1.5 yards of plain fleece, approximately $20 (you could probably get it for way cheaper if you planned in advance and looked for sales/coupons). It only took about 2 hours to complete, start to finish. Go grab some fleece and make one for yourself!
